Land Rover/Red Cross ‘Project Hero’

JLR developed this Land Rover Discovery for the Austrian Red Cross as part of their Special Vehicle Operations.

This Search and Rescue vehicle houses an autonomous drone in its specially designed roof section.

The drone is equipped with night vision and autonomously launches from, and lands onto the roof of the vehicle while in motion.

It is still in the prototype stages of development and was launched at this years Geneva Motor Show 2017.
